The library is a hub of academic activity providing students, faculty and staff with access to a vast array of resources. these resources include:

1. Reference Services
The issuing Desk is the front office of the library. It seeks answers reference questions frequently asked
by library users. It provides information about the services offered by the library.
2. Electronic Resource Department
The department is responsible for acquiring, maintaining and providing access to electronic resources.
The electronic resource department provides the services.
-Implementation of new ICTs.
-Provision of information literacy.
-Provision of access to E – journals and E – books.
3. Technical services department.
Responsible to identify, select, acquire, and process appropriate reading materials and develop
collection that support approved academic programs for David Livingstone College of Education.

Research and Study Space

DALICE library staff are available to help with research, provide guidance on using resources, and offer support with citations and referencing. the library staff also provide referral services to specialized institutions in areas of research. 

Riding on the theme “not so quiet anymore” The library not only has a quiet study area, but group discussion area/room and collaborative workspaces have also been created.

 

 

Stress management corner and child literacy program

The library introduced a stress management corner which include activities like board games, crossword puzzles and literacy programs for children to help children from the community improve their reading skills.

Mentorship Programs

The library provides mentorship programs that pair students with experienced individuals (Mentors) typically professionals or educators who provide guidance, support and encouragement to help students achieve their academic and career goals. 

Computer Lab

The computer lab at David Livingstone College of Education is a vital hub for digital learning and practical training in information and communication technologies. Designed to support students and faculty, the lab is equipped with modern computers, internet connectivity, and essential software to facilitate hands-on experience in computer literacy, programming, research, and e-learning. It plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education by enabling learners to develop the technological skills required in today’s digital world. The lab also supports academic projects, assignments, and access to online resources, contributing significantly to the overall educational development and digital empowerment of students at the college
